What really caught my eye about the Batman Arkham Asylum game was that the character design had been based more around the comic-book style. As the dark knight film had came out more recently and nearer to the game i thought the joker would be more like film character. Although making them look more like cartoons does look equally effective. i think because they are out of scale they look more gothic and gives of more of a dangerous mood to the game. Especially the jokers character, as his lanky body and wide smile makes him look more sadistic and deranged.
